Providing Feedback to HMLR on Digital Property Transactions
At Navah Consulting, we’re always keen to contribute to the development of the property industry, so we were pleased to be invited to provide feedback to HM Land Registry (HMLR) as part of their research into improving digital property transactions.
The interview, organised by Adrian Frost, a researcher at HMLR, was conducted on behalf of the Digital Property Market Steering Group (DPMSG) - a coalition of industry and government working to enhance the property buying and selling process.
The focus of the session was a Digital Property Information Protocol (DPIP), which aims to increase the adoption of digital processes in property transactions and clarify the roles and responsibilities of various professionals involved in the market. Since this is an evolving initiative, input from industry professionals is vital to shaping the final content.
During the interview, we were able to review draft content, share our insights, and discuss areas where further improvements could be made. It’s encouraging to see steps being taken towards a more efficient and transparent property transaction process, and we look forward to seeing how this initiative develops.
’DPMSG vision
We want everyone involved in buying, leasing and selling land and property to experience a secure and modern market that is transparent, customer-friendly and business-friendly at all stages.
Through collaboration, innovation and a focus on emerging digital technologies we will build on existing progress across the home buying and selling system to get a better result for the customer: simpler, faster, more certain and less stressful.’
We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to this important work and remain committed to supporting innovation within the industry.
